Prophecy Too Late: I told Jonathan He Will Lose--T.B Joshua

Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), on Sunday disclosed that he warned President Goodluck Jonathan that he will lose the March 28 presidential election.

According to VANGUARD, speaking to his congregation, televised live via his Christian network Emmanuel TV, the Prophet said, ''I want to use this moment to congratulate Nigerians in our midst here. I want to use this moment to congratulate Nigerians in our midst here.

The Prophet said he called Jonathan by phone to inform him of his imminent defeat. ''I said to him, ‘Your Excellency – all you need to say is ‘thank You, Jesus’, even when it seems there is nothing to be thankful for. He said, ‘Thank you, man of God’. Before I knew it, I saw the news on CNN that he had congratulated his opponent''.

''Look, Nigeria wanted change – everyone was yearning for change. An attempt to stop change leads to war, to a bloodbath… If Nigeria knows what we have overcome, we would dance''.

''I really want to salute President Jonathan. The President has served; he has done his best. It was just the season of crisis – and unfortunately he found himself at the lead in the season of crisis'', the prophet added.

Nigeria Election Prophecy: I See The Death of A Great Nigerian Politician - TB Joshua

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has warned of the death of a prominent politician due to ‘heated up’ politics in the wake of the closely contested elections, NigerianEye reports.

“I am seeing Nigerians heating up politics,” T. B. Joshua told his congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday 29th March 2015.

“Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week and next week, make sure you fast and pray,” Joshua stated just before the close of his church service at 7pm in a message broadcast live via Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

“They will heat up politics and a great man among the politicians will likely lose his life… I am seeing this kind of thing happening in the night,” he stated, calling on congregants to take heed of his message and maintain ‘an attitude of prayer’ on the days specified in order to ‘save souls’.

Ijaw message to Buhari: 'Rule with the fear of God'

AS Ijaw, we feel proud that one of us has provided Nigeria an example of a true democrat.’’

With these words, the founding Secretary of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Pastor P. Z. Aginighan, spoke the minds of his Ijaw people on the presidential election.

Also from Aginighan, a former Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Development Corporation (NDDC) and Acting Managing Director, came a message from the Ijaw to the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari: “He (Buhari) should govern with the fear of God and deliver on his promises to Nigerians during his electioneering campaign. Now that he is about to enjoy the fruit of democracy epitomised by the decent democratic conduct of President Jonathan, he should do all to strengthen the democratic institutions in the country. He should also have the courage to do likewise if he is defeated in an election.”

The INC leader, in an interview with Sunday Vanguard, explained that the Ijaw mobilised for their kinsmen, Jonathan, ahead of last weekend polls, saying, “I heard the President of the Ijaw National Congress, Barrister Boma Obuoforibo, appeal to all Nigerians to re-elect President Jonathan for a number of days on NTA. Other Ijaw groups from Arogbo/Apoi clans in Ondo State to Eastern Obolo/Ibeno clans in Akwa Ibom State all mobilised for Jonathan.”

On the message Jonathan was trying to send by conceding defeat to Buhari, Aginigham said: “That was the manifestation of the finger of God upon Nigeria.   It was the greatest demonstration of love for Nigeria. It was an uncommon show of statesmanship. General Buhari that he conceded defeat to never did same to him in 2011. His action is in conformity with the injunction of the Holy Bible in Romans 12:21: ‘Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good’. Jonathan kept his date with history. As Ijaw, we feel proud that one of us has provided Nigeria an example of a true democrat.’’

On the response of the world leaders to the President’s disposition to the outcome of the March 28 election, he stated: “For a man who resisted the temptation to use the instruments of coercion and stupendous state resources at his disposal to perpetuate himself in power, for a man who congratulated his opponent while the collation of results was still going on, for a man who averted the wasting of lives of thousands of innocent Nigerians through a post election violence, all the outpouring of commendation from within and outside Nigeria is well deserved. President Jonathan has lived out his often quoted saying that nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.’’

On the insinuation in some quarters that Jonathan is more of an Ijaw President than a Nigerian President, the former NNDC Acting MD said: “To me, Jonathan is not an Ijaw President as he has been painted in certain quarters. He is a Nigerian President of Ijaw extraction. He recognised that he became President of Nigeria in 2010 by divine providence. In 2011, Nigerians overwhelmingly elected him as their President. He served Nigeria to the best of his ability with all the challenges that he faced, particularly the Boko Haram insurgency in the North.

Jonathan has constructed so many roads for Nigeria with none that he has commissioned in the Ijawland since he became President. He established Almajiri schools in the North but none for the migrant fishermen in his native Ijaw land. There are SURE-P mass transit buses all over Nigeria but no SURE-P boats throughout the coastal belt that is inhabited largely by the Ijaw. No part of the Ijawland is benefiting from the railways Jonathan has revamped.

Ijaw does not have any airport to refurbish. Jonathan’s Ijawland is largely in darkness, inaccessible by road, without potable water. He pleased the rest of Nigeria and forgot his people, thinking that by so doing they would re-elect him, but that did not happen.”

The pastor behind CAN N7 billion bribe story has come to beg--Oritsajefor's wife

PASTOR Helen Oritsejafor, fondly called Mama Helen Oritsejafor, is a co-pastor of the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri in Delta State. She hails from Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State and is married to Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
Apart from being a co-pastor of the Word of Life Bible Church, she is the Chairman, Board of Directors of Eagle Flight Micro Finance Bank Limited, Eagle Heights International Schools and the African Broadcasting Network, ABN. In this interview conducted before the presidential election, but after the women convention of the Word of Life Bible Church, known as Daughters of Sarah Convention, the mother of three bared her mind on several national issues. Excerpts…
What triggered your salvation and how did you get to this stage?
It’s quite interesting because every time I think of it, it tickles me because, first and foremost, my Anglican background must have played a very big role in this. My father actually built an Anglican church in our estate and it was mandatory for us to go to church in those days, but that didn’t bring the change, besides the fact that I had a moral background and upbringing. There was this thirst in me to know God more.
My Bible and my big cross then were always in my bag. I will never forget a particular day I went to the bank and I needed to meet with the bank manager. Whilst I was waiting, the bank manager’s secretary engaged me and asked if I had given my life to Christ. I told her yes and I brought out my Bible and my big cross. She started laughing. So I asked what she was laughing at and she said she was not talking about my religion; instead she wanted to know if I had given my life to Christ.
She spoke to me about the need to do so and advised that I attend a particular church on Sunday. I didn’t go. When I showed up again the following week at the office, she looked at me and asked if I attended the service and I said yes. So she looked into my eyes and said I just lied. I was shocked because I couldn’t believe she would be that bold to say that to me.
Right there, I made up my mind that I was going to attend the next service which I did. And that day, as the service was going on, it was as though the man of God was speaking about my life. I lost my mother when I was four. Growing up, even though I was in a home of affluence, the fact that my mum was not there created a big vacuum for me and my siblings.
Having to now groom yourself to be very independent with the belief that there isn’t anything you can’t achieve, that has always been my resolve. I was very radical in that aspect. I could just throw myself into a place and believe that all I need to do is to pray and everything will start turning.
For someone now to start preaching and saying you’ve always believed you could do everything by yourself, you need Christ. Those were the things that really pushed me out and I was really touched by the experience because I just felt I was just tired of struggling and needed to give myself totally to the Almighty God, which I did.
Recently, you started the Professionals Entrepreneurs’ Businessmen Fellowship. What informed the formation of PEB and what it is all about?
PEB Fellowship actually is an idea that came to Papa and I. We sat down one day and looked at what had been going on in our environment, and found that apart from the fact that Christians believe that the only thing they need to do to bring a change into their lives, they also need to fast and pray to make things work.
So we had been discussing on how to take our children to the next level of life. Apart from preaching the gospel to them and showing them how to go to heaven, we also need to give them the impetus; what is going to make them shine here on earth. It is not going to address the professionals only, the initiative is intended to address expatriates, professionals, business men and women; and, of course, we also believe that the world in which we live in is not created for only unbelievers.
Unbelievers are not supposed to be the ones in charge of wealth. Christians are supposed to be in charge of wealth. We are supposed to be the ones to teach unbelievers how to make money, but, unfortunately, we haven’t been active in that area. So we want to be able to teach our children how they can to distinguish themselves in whatever field they might find themselves. And it’s not just in Word of Life; it cuts across, meeting the needs of the community and, of course, in Nigeria as a whole.
Those who have attended the PEB Fellowship will attest to the fact that the sessions are unbelievable and unprecedented. And if we can work on the information, no doubt we will start seeing Christian multi-billionaires who, through that, can change their world positively still remain in faith. So the whole essence is to build a total man outside the spiritual aspect of impartation and make them very functional and prosper in their endeavors as the case may be.
In your position as President of Daughters of Sarah Fellowship, how do you rate the fellowship and its annual conventions?
Daughters of Sarah Fellowship is a body of women from Word of Life Bible Church, of 30 years and above, married and unmarried. The essence is to expose them to spiritual emancipation, financial, material, marital emancipation. One thing we’ve realized also is that women are the most marginalized sex, not just in Africa but around the world. It’s worse in Africa.
We know that in the western world, there has been some level of improvement because now we are beginning to see women heading countries. I’m hoping that, one day, we will be able to produce a woman as the President of Nigeria. There’s this uniqueness in a woman, because a woman is actually a man with a womb and that is the added value of a woman.
A woman can think through things if she is under pressure, you can see that she can easily balance out things. Those are some of the attributes that God has deposited in a woman and, if she is allowed to function in her aunction, not only would she be able to bring transformation to her immediate environment but the community and beyond.
A fellowship like this is to allow our women fulfill destiny in every area of life without having to be timid and feeling low with less esteem, but given a platform to function and to bring out the best in them. The beauty of this fellowship also is that it does not only encourage women in all aspects of life, but even the male folks as well.
The fellowship does not allow the women alone to attend the programme, for instance, like the just concluded convention, but it’s also for everyone because we do not only teach you on how to make your homework. Don’t forget, if your home is strong, automatically, every aspect of your life would be. Men were in attendance as well as children. I believe that this year’s convention was mind blowing because, every year, God has always tailored it to address something in our lives and it has always been incredible.

Your money will be safe - Buhari

President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, has given assurances to Nigerians that he will handle state resources with utmost responsibility & honesty & would not condone the looting of public resources

He said this while receiving a delegation of the people from his home state, Katsina, who came to congratulate him winning the presidential election. Buhari said savings from his war against corruption would be ploughed into education with the objective of empowering citizens.
“If you give education to a man or woman, you have empowered them to be productive. There is no better way to empowerment,” Mr. Buhari said.
The President-elect, who exchanged banters with old schoolmates and kinsmen among the 130-odd delegation, spoke about his resolve to work with all Nigerians to pull Nigerians out of the current hardships facing them.

Mr. Buhari also expressed his commitment to multi-party democracy as the best system of government and appealed to all citizens to imbibe courage and perseverance, virtues he said, stood him in good stead in earning him victory after failing three times in the past presidential elections.
The leaders of the delegation, who spoke on the occasion, included the state Chairman of the Katsina State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mustapha Inuwa; a former Governor of the state, Saidu Barda, a leading Muslim cleric, a representative of federal legislators and a representative of the traditional institutions in the state.

They all pledged their support and commitment to the in-coming Buhari administration and promised to avoid the mistakes of others by imbibing humility and respect for all sections of the country.

The 7 Best Lies Women Tell In Relationships

Even though no one wants to admit it, we all know that some women are prolific liars. These type are so skillful in the act that they almost never get caught at it which invariably makes them good cheaters (that’s a story for another day). From lying about their age to their relationship status, they completely leave men behind when it comes to lying and getting away with it. It is my hope that this list and article in its entirety will help you understand some of the common lies told by women, why they tell those lies and how stupid they are.

Age
This perhaps is the commonest lie told by women and the reason why they do is not that far-fetched. I have dated girls from different age groups ranging from the 18-22 year old group and 24-29 year old group. I got to discover that those that fell within the 24-29 year old group lied more about their age. They always took off 2 to three years out of their original age.
Obviously, women lie about their age because they feel men are mostly attracted to younger women and would perceive older women as controlling. Despite the facade the media tries to create by trying to alter the perception of age. It’s a natural biological instinct for women to know when men are most attracted to them and once they are above the age when men swoon over them, they naturally try to remain attractive and lie about their real age which unfortunately, doesn’t work.

Being Single
This is another common lie women tell. A very obvious one is claiming to have a boyfriend when a guy they don’t like is making a move on them. However, the opposite of this is more common as women will pointedly tell a guy they like that they are single when it is actually the opposite. If they fail to tell you they are single when they like you, they might just feign ignorance and avoid talking about the man in their life which happens to be as good as lying about it.
I have been with two girls who were actually in serious relationships before we got hooked and both never mentioned their boyfriends while we were together. Perhaps it was because I never asked because I avoid complications that way. I never got to know they were in relationships until an awkward message or call comes into their phones.
Of cause, some ladies try to juggle two relationships at a time, just as other would dump the old guy for the new one. Other ones basically want to cheat on their boyfriends of many years for the thrill and excitement the new guy they barely know brings. The scary thing about this is that the men they end up cheating with are mostly douche bags and they are barely honest about it with their boyfriends. A recent study says that 50% of women admitted that they would give their boyfriend another man’s child while 42% of women said they would lie about taking birth control so they could get pregnant.

We are just friends, he’s not interested
“We are just friends, he’s not interested in me.” is another common lie women tell. One would be dumb to believe that the women actually believe this given the “I miss you,” “You look so sexy in that picture,” etc that the supposed friends constantly bombard them with. The messages were clear indications that these girls know that these guys wanted more as some of them even reply with the same. The reason why women do this can be adduced to their crave for validation, interest in a future relationship or pure boredom. Women keep some guys around as a backup plan who they continue to chat, flirt and keep around in case their ongoing relationship fails to work or someone whose shoulders can be available to cry on when they have problems in their relationships.
More so, women will keep some other guys whom they previously had an interest around so that they may ignite a spark. And as a guy, always bear in mind that women will leave you behind the moment they find someone that’s more valuable than you are. This sounds somewhat scary given that a wide array of opportunists can easily get to sleep with her but the bright side is that you could also find yourself on the other side.

I don’t flirt with other guys
Women often tell this lie given how ambiguous the definition of flirting is. I see flirting as talking and acting in a way that could lead a normal man to believe that you are sexually interested in him. Women are very good at reading body language and can easily deduce if they are flirting or someone is flirting with them. They also do know when a guy wants much more from them. Most women flirt just to kill boredom and have backup plans in case their present relationship fails to work.

I’ve never done this before
If you haven’t heard this a couple of times, then you are probably lacking in experience. It is common to hear a lady say “I’ve never done this” when you bring her home from an outing. They believe saying this will help you believe they are good girls and will never follow a guy they barely know home but you’d be a fool to believe this as you are one in a long list who has passed the same routine. Ladies try to appear innocent so as not to lose an opportunity of being in a relationship with you. Every one knows “ a hoe can’t be made a housewife” and for this reason, they try to create a positive perception, hoping you get to fall for it and a lot of men actually do fall for it.
Another study recently alluded that the higher the number of sexual partners a a man or woman has had between age 18 and the time of first marriage or cohabitation, the more likely he or she is to be unfaithful.

Last time she had sex
I enjoy asking this question because of the fun of knowing how much girls lie about it. For reasons unknown, most girls tend to say the last time they had sex was 6 to 8 months back. Unfortunately, even though it seems to sound right to them, it is a lie 4 out of 5 times. The fact that women know guys don’t want to date or marry a slut makes them pretend to be innocent in the hope that it will give them a positive perception.

Number of Sexual Partners
A lot of girls lie about their body count or how many guys they have been with. This can be adduced to the fact that they want to be seen as innocent. They know if they tell the truth, most guys would just want to smash and leave.

These lies tell us that we have been lied to all through life. However, one good thing about her telling you all these lies is that she has a serious interest in you. This however doesn’t make it right for you to be duped into a relationship. Women tend to use the fact that we crave good girls and have become good in the act of deception. Nonetheless, if they want a good guy, they have to work for it not by getting it through the shortcut.

Presidency to investigate audio leak of GEJ's congratulatory phone call to Buhari

When we all heard the audio of president Jonathan's congratulatory phone call to Gen Buhari on March 31st, some of you thought it was leaked by the presidency to make Pres. Jonathan look good but according to new reports, the presidency is embarrassed by the leak and has commenced a discreet investigation into how the phone conversation was leaked.

The presidency is now trying to find out if the leak came from them or from Gen. Buhari's camp. A source told Saturday Sun; “Definitely, unauthorised release of a raw recording of the President’s telephone conversation, if from our (Presidency’s) end is a security breach that cannot go without being investigated,” the source said.

The source said if they find out the audio, which went viral two days ago, was from the Presidency, then further investigation would be conducted to fish out those behind it in order to mete out appropriate punishment.

ONDO State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his emergence as president-elect, even as he called for peaceful Easter celebration.
The governor while speaking with newsmen in the Government House, Akure yesterday urged the president-elect to be magnanimous in victory and rule the country with the tenets of the rule of law as inherent in his acceptance speech.
He appealed to the newly elected president to work assiduously towards fulfilling his electoral promises to the Nigerian electorate.   Mimiko who assured of his administration’s partnership with Buhari in moving Nigeria forward, also congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for his show of sportsmanship in congratulating  the president-elect  even  before the final tally of votes, describing it  as a step in the right direction to further deepen Nigeria’s democracy.

Ajimobi Debunks Rumour On Examination For Workers

GOVERNOR Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has refuted the claim allegedly made by suspected members of opposition that his administration would start the process of conducting examination for workers, with a view to reducing the state workforce.
Ajimobi in a statement issued by his Special adviser on Media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, charged the people his state to discard the rumour being peddled by suspected opposition members.
According to the statement made available to The Guardian, rather than conducting any examination for civil servants, what the government is doing at the moment is the distribution of letters upgrading graduate primary school teachers from Level 14 to 17.

We Have Accepted Nigerians' Decision, Says Lamido

STILL smarting from the defeat of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State yesterday said the PDP has heard the voices of Nigerians.
Speaking with State House correspondents after a private visit to President Goodluck Jonathan at his house official residence at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Lamido however believes that this is not to begin any blame game, saying the PDP would go back to the drawing board to diagnose its problems.
“Nigerians wanted whoever becomes the President to be Nigerian President not a President for a particular region. This is how I see this election and I thank Nigerians for standing for Nigeria,” he said.
Lamido however admitted that there was a tendency that the presidential election would have a bandwagon effect on the governorship elections billed for next Saturday, April 11, but added that it was up to the PDP to work very hard to avert it.
Asked if the PDP would remain one after the elections, he said it has the capacity to bounce back. His words: “I’m sure if you know the party’s history, what it went through in the last 16 years, it has the capacity to bounce back. PDP made some very costly mistakes and we have not been able to properly manage our successes.
“But to me, I don’t think quitting PDP is the answer and in any case, Nigerian people have said yes to the APC, they have spoken in very loud and unmistaken terms. The vote is very unambiguous and so we respect their choice and their rights and we praise Buhari for being able to take the ticket from the PDP even though I am not happy. But it is Nigeria that won not Buhari, not Jonathan.
“It was so intense you will not believe it as confirmed by the Chairperson African Union and other international friends who have called, thanking Nigerians for really saving Nigeria and also saving Africa. So, I also say thank you Nigerians for saving Africa and saving Nigeria.”
