Election Fever Grips Nigerian Banks

Nigeria - Several banks across the country have been affected by the fever of the 2015 general elections as they have resolved to close earlier than usual on Friday, following increasing fears over security.
First Bank, Sterling, Fidelity Bank among others stated that they will close early on Friday with no specific reason given.
“Dear customer, our branches will close by 1pm on Friday March 27, 2015,” a message from First Bank says, directing customer to use the ATM and other mobile means.
There have been security concerns as hoodlums and armed robbers have taken advantage of the tense election atmosphere.
Yesterday seven people were reported dead as armed men stormed some banks in Owo, Ondo state and looted money and valuable items.
Weeks ago robbers attacked FCMB in Lekki, killing 3 policemen and carting away huge amounts of money in the process.
